Respiratory protection
This category spans the respiratory range, from disposable FFP2 and FFP3 masks to reusable half and full face masks, replacement filters, powered air hoods and self-contained breathing apparatus. Listed models include 3M 6000 series half masks and the 6800 full face mask, Dräger X-plore 5500 and Panorama Nova masks, MSA Ultra Elite and Moldex full face respirators, and Dräger PSS 3000 breathing apparatus.
Respiratory protective equipment is Category III under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, so the certification deserves a close look. Disposable masks are tested to EN 149 in classes FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3, marked NR for single-shift use or R if reusable. Half masks fall under EN 140 and full face masks under EN 136. Gas and combined filters follow EN 14387, where the letters A, B, E and K name the gas group and the number 1 to 3 gives capacity. Particle filters follow EN 143.
On Traxfair you send one request with the masks or filter codes you need. Our team gathers offers from verified European suppliers and returns them in a standardized layout, which makes it easy to confirm that every quote matches the filter class you specified.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between FFP2 and FFP3?
Both are EN 149 classes for filtering half masks. FFP2 requires at least 94% filter efficiency and total inward leakage of no more than 8%. FFP3 requires at least 99% efficiency and no more than 2% inward leakage. The substance and exposure level in your risk assessment decide which class you need, so state it in your request.
How do I read a filter code like A2B2E2K2-P3?
Each letter is an EN 14387 gas group: A for organic vapors with a boiling point above 65 °C, B for inorganic gases, E for acid gases such as sulfur dioxide and K for ammonia. The number after each letter is the capacity class, 1 to 3. P3 adds particle filtration at the highest class, and Hg marks mercury vapor protection.
Can I source replacement filters separately from masks?
Yes. Filters, prefilters and cartridges can be requested on their own by manufacturer code. A filter must match the mask connection, such as a brand-specific bayonet or the standard EN 148-1 thread used on many full face masks. Include the mask model alongside the filter code, and compare only offers for the same part number.
