Work gloves
The work gloves in this catalog cover most of what a plant or warehouse uses in a year: palm-coated knits for general handling, cut-resistant gloves such as Mapa KryTech, chemical-resistant gloves from the Ansell AlphaTec range, disposable nitrile gloves, thermal winter gloves and an ESD-safe HyFlex model. Ranges from Ansell, Showa, Mapa, Honeywell, Portwest, Uvex and ATG are listed.
Before comparing offers, check the markings against the task. EN 388 rates resistance to abrasion, cut, tear and puncture; the letter from A to F after the digits is the ISO 13997 cut result, and it is the figure to compare for work with blades or sheet metal. EN ISO 374-1 covers chemical protection as Type A, B or C, depending on how many test chemicals the glove resists and for how long. EN ISO 374-5 covers microorganisms and EN 511 covers cold.
Sourcing through Traxfair takes one request. Name the model, or describe the protection level, size split and annual volume, and our team collects offers from verified European suppliers in a single standardized format, so price per pair and pack size line up side by side. The service is free for buyers.

Frequently asked questions
Which EN 388 cut level should I specify?
Use the letter at the end of the EN 388 code, from A to F. It comes from the ISO 13997 test, which gives comparable results across yarns, while the older coupe test number can be unreliable on fibers that dull the blade. Your risk assessment sets the minimum; state it in the request so every offer meets the same level.
What do Type A, B and C mean on chemical gloves?
They are the EN ISO 374-1 classes. Type A gloves resist at least six of the listed test chemicals for 30 minutes or more, Type B at least three for 30 minutes, and Type C at least one for 10 minutes. The type shows breadth only, so check the permeation data for the chemicals your team actually handles.
Do disposable nitrile gloves need to meet a PPE standard?
Yes, when they are sold as PPE. Disposable nitrile gloves for chemical splash protection are tested to EN ISO 374-1, and gloves for protection against bacteria, fungi or viruses to EN ISO 374-5. Examination gloves sold only as medical devices follow EN 455 under different rules, so check which certification the supplier offers for the glove you specify.
