Safety helmets
The helmets in this catalog are mainly 3M industrial safety helmets, including the G3000, the G500 and the X5000 series, alongside a Brandbull Calisia Vulcan firefighting helmet and a matching neck protector.
Most site and plant helmets are certified to EN 397, which covers shock absorption and penetration resistance. Optional markings tell you more: -20 °C or -30 °C for very low temperatures, +150 °C for very high temperatures, 440 V AC for short-term electrical insulation, LD for lateral deformation and MM for molten metal splash. Where a chin strap must keep the helmet on during work at height, check for EN 12492 as well, and for live electrical work, EN 50365. Firefighting helmets have their own standard, EN 443. Helmet shells also age, so check the service life in the manufacturer's instructions and the date clock inside the shell.
To source helmets through Traxfair, describe the models or markings you need, the colors and any accessories such as visors or earmuff mounts. Our team takes that single request to verified European suppliers and brings back standardized offers you can compare directly.

Frequently asked questions
How often should safety helmets be replaced?
There is no single legal interval. Manufacturers set a service life in the user instructions, usually counted from the production date marked inside the shell, and some 3M helmets have a UV indicator that changes color as the shell ages. Replace any helmet after a significant impact, even if there is no visible damage.
What does 440 V AC mean on an EN 397 helmet?
It is an optional EN 397 marking showing that the helmet protects against brief, accidental contact with live conductors up to 440 volts AC. It is not a rating for deliberate live work. For that, electricians need a helmet tested to EN 50365, which covers electrical insulation for low-voltage installations up to 1000 V AC.
Can I source helmets with visors and earmuffs attached?
Yes. Many industrial helmets have accessory slots for visors and helmet-mounted earmuffs, but compatibility is model-specific and some combinations are tested as a system. List the helmet and accessory codes together in your request so verified suppliers quote a compatible set, and include the colors if you use them to mark roles on site.
